Last weekend, the Hassle.com team gathered in Dublin at the Ideal Home Show to meet lots of lovely folks, tell them all about Hassle.com and help them free up their time too.
We were all pretty excited because it’s one of the first exhibitions we’ve done as a company, so we had some of the London team flying over to Dublin to meet our Irish team. Everything was all planned out, but it wouldn’t be an adventure without a little bit of stress, right? Correct! On the morning we flew out we had taxi troubles, baggage weight issues, passport mishaps, and a mad-home-alone-style-dash through the airport to get to the gate. But we made our flight in the end – phew!
Once we touched down in Dublin, it was straight to the RDS Centre to get everything set up! When the stand came together, we were all pretty chuffed! It’s taken lots of planning and lots(!) of meetings but our very own Lina has been master organiser – so we knew we were in safe hands.
So what did we get up to at the show?
Good question! We had lots going on at our stand. As well as chatting with everyone at the show and telling them more about Hassle.com, our stand was all about giving people time back in their days. We knew how busy the Ideal Home Show would be, so we wanted to give people the chance to come and chill out, relax in (or jump into!) our very cool Buddhabags! They were, unsurprisingly, a bit hit with the younger guests…
As well as this, we were running a competition to give away free 3 month cleans to our lucky winners, all they had to do to win was write down all the ideas for what they’d like to do if they had more time in their lives.
We had some AMAZING answers, from more time golfing to pearl diving to spending more family time together. We even had the lovely Karen, who wanted to use her free time to clean and declutter other peoples homes! Finding out all about how people wanted to spend their time was definitely one of our favourite parts of the show! Make sure you head along to our Facebook album to see all your great pics (and remember to tag yourself in them too!).
When it came to announcing the competition winners, we even got to share the stage with Lisa Cannon from Xpose to announce the winners!
As well as giving away free cleans, we also teamed up with our friends at Pucker, a fantastic startup in Dublin who can help you find and book beauty professionals online (and they come right to your door to beautify you)!
The lovely Pucker and team were offering free treatments at the Ideal Home Show, we had Emma giving mini manicures and makeovers for the girls, and super-cool Christian giving hot towel, barber shaves for the gents. Have a look at them in action below.
It wasn’t just the attendees of the Ideal Home Show that took advantage of the free treatments, the Hassle.com team took full advantage of them too…well, it would be silly not to, right?
We had a pretty busy (okay, exhausting!) time over the four days, but it was definitely worth it to get to speak to people in Dublin and tell them more about Hassle.com. I think our mission to give people their free time back and relax at the show was a real success too. We even managed to find ourselves some potential new (and incredibly cute) Hassle.com mascots!
So thanks for the warm welcome Dublin, we had a blast! Until next year…
…yes, that’s *meant* to spell out Hassle. If you tilt your head and squint your eyes…and use a lot of imagination. Well, we tried!
