Hassle.com says 'hello' to Manchester

It’s fair to say we’ve had a very busy (and exciting) few weeks here in Manchester! If you haven’t heard yet, we’ve been all round the city officially launching the Hassle.com brand to the lovely Mancunion crowd!

It’s been fantastic being out and about meeting the folks of Manchester to spread the word about Hassle.com. We’ve been all over the city, chatting with commuters, as well as running around the city centre each day! As a team we must have covered over 10 miles per day (although we forgot our pedometers, so we’re just guessing!).

People seemed to have loved our digital signs that we had all round the city centre – ‘Manky Gaff’ in Piccadilly Train station was the winner so far, along with digital bridge.

If you haven’t spotted us out on the streets then you may have seen us in the Manchester Evening News or heard us on Key 103 where we held a competition and gave away a years worth of cleaning to a lucky winner!

As well as this, we’ve also been catching up with some of our fellow Manchester startups including Uber, Formisimo, Canddi and HireSpace, finding out about all the awesome things they’re up to at the moment. Likewise, the SpacePortX launch networking event went incredibly well with over 200 people attending. Congratulations to Keith from Rormix for winning the free Hassle.com clean in the raffle!

After all that running about, we wound down with a well-earned pint after a busy first week with the guys at Silicon Drinkabout. It was a fantastic turn out, they said it was their biggest yet (might have something to do with us buying the first round!). It was great to meet other startups in Manchester and – by the amount of them that got pocketed – our beer mats went down a treat too.

Beer mats for Silicon Drinkabout – cheers!

We also been have been hiding watches and golden envelopes all over the city for people to find every day. The clever detectives who found our hidden watches won themselves prizes like afternoon tea at Cloud 23 and a spa day too!

Now, with Manchester being known for it’s beautiful *ahem* weather, we just had to do something around that! Which is why over the next few months we will be helping Key 103 deliver the weather reports across the airwaves to all of Manchester. Make sure to tune in to hear the ads!

Lastly, we just wanted to say a huge ‘Thanks’ to all you Mancunians from Hassle.com for giving us such a warm welcome – we had a blast. Now, we’ll try to make sure there isn’t a ‘manky gaff’ left in sight!
