This week we had the pleasure of chatting to fabulous cleaner, Joszefine for our Helpling blog.
Joszefine’s customers could not be more satisfied with her,and although she is busy raking in five-star reviews across the board, she still found the time to drop by the Helpling office for a chat!
Leaving her native Hungary behind, Joszefine made the brave decision to relocate to London seven years ago with her family in search of a better life. Supporting them through various hotel cleaning jobs, Joszefine joined Helpling in July 2016 and she has never looked back!
With customers raving about her brilliant cleaning skills, and one in particular describing Joszefine as “the best cleaner I have ever met”, we asked Joszefine what her secret was? She told us that “cleaning is simply understanding your customer’s needs and having a friendly, approachable attitude”.
Although she left Hungary a while ago, her homeland still holds a place in her heart and she manages to visit every couple of years or so and at home she loves getting her family together and cooking traditional Hungarian food, such as Goulash (if you’ve never tried it, we definitely recommend it).
Speaking to Joszefine, we can clearly see why she has become so popular on the platform. She breezes into Helpling HQ with a warm hello to our Customer Service Staff and her passion for the job is obvious when she talks about how pleased her customers are. Before leaving the office, Joszefine shared with us her secret Goulash recipe from Hungary.
- 1 chopped red pepper
- 1 chopped yellow pepper
- 1 chopped paprika or ½ tbs of dry paprika
- 2 large baking potatoes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp of passata
- 500g stewing beef
- 1 can of peeled tomatoes
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- 3 tbsp olive/sunflower oil
Begin by sauteing the onion in a deep saute pan with olive or sunflower oil until softened. Add the chopped red and yellow peppers and fry together. Add some water to the mix to soften the vegetables.
When the vegetables are caramelized and soft, add the peeled tomatoes and the passata and stir. Cook for 5 minutes to allow the flavours to blend.
In another frying pan, cook the beef. Add a few splashes of red wine to the meat.
When the meat has cooked and the vegetables are boiling away, it’s time to add the potatoes. Cut them into little cubes and mix in with the rest of the vegetables. After allowing them to stew for 5 minutes it’s time to add the meat into the deep pan.
Add your chopped paprika, salt and pepper at this point. Top up your pan with just enough water so that it covers the entire Goulash. Leave for approximately 1 hour and serve with sour cream.
