Our top tips for getting the most out of your clean!

Yay! You’ve booked (or are thinking about booking) your very first clean with Hassle.com – we’re really pleased to have you on board!

We often get asked by customers what they can do to help their clean run more smoothly. So we thought it would be a great idea to share our 5 top tips with you!

#1 Meet and greet your cleaner 


We always think it’s nice to say hello face-to-face to your cleaner, so you can show them around your house and talk them through everything you’d like to have cleaned. Don’t worry though, if you’re unable to meet your cleaner on the first booking, why not suggest they pop over prior to the clean?

By meeting your cleaner face-to-face, not only do you get to know them a bit better, but you can also chat through any little quirks you might have (don’t worry, they don’t judge).

#2 Remember to make a list!


Here at Hassle.com, we love a good list! That’s why we always suggest making a list because not only does it allow you to prioritise the rooms or tasks that you want taken care of, but it allows your cleaner to prioritise their time.

Top tip: Whilst we’re not suggesting you pre-clean before your cleaner arrives (it happens more than you might think!), we do recommend having a little tidy because the less time your cleaner has to spend tidying, the more time they have to make your house sparkle.

#3 Stock up those materials


Cleaning is *pretty* tricky without the cleaning products, so it’s important to make sure you have everything you need for your cleaner. You can either request to add products to your booking, or take a look at our list below to make sure your cleaning cupboard is well stocked.

  • Multi-purpose Cleaning Spray
  • General Purpose Polish
  • Floor Cleaner
  • Cream Cleaner
  • Marigold’s / Gloves
  • Limescale Remover
  • Microfibre Cloths
  • Furniture Polish

#4 Pets at the property?


If you’ve got a pooch, puss, parrot, piranha (or any other pets in the property) and haven’t already stated this in your booking request, then it’s best to let your cleaner know. Not all our cleaners are huge piranha fans!

#5 Clothes in a crease?


If you’ve got a pile of ironing to take care of, let your cleaner know when booking (or before they arrive). Our ironing experts suggest it takes about 1 hour to iron six shirts to a high standard, so it’s good to bear that in mind when thinking about the duration you’ve booked for your clean.

Remember, you can always contact your cleaner either through your Hassle.com account or directly with a call or text message. You’ll find their number on your confirmation email or account.
